A new chapter has begun for the National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda, with the organisation completing a successful electoral process that has installed fresh leadership at the helm of one of the nation’s most important youth civic institutions.

The National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda (NYPAAB) has announced the election of members to its new Executive Committee following a successful and engaging electoral process. Ezekiel Francois has been elected as President, bringing with him a renewed vision for youth advocacy and parliamentary excellence.

Joining Francois on the Executive Committee are Jordyn Roberts as Recruitment and Mobilization Officer, Lorianna Richards as Projects and Events Officer, and Janiyah Winston as Financial Secretary.

Outgoing Leadership Honoured

The transition of power was marked by warm acknowledgement of the outgoing executive’s contributions to the organisation. The Association extended its sincere appreciation to the outgoing Executive Committee and all members of NYPAAB for their dedication, service, and commitment to youth development and parliamentary engagement.

Special recognition was accorded to Immediate Past President Jessica Zouetr, whose leadership and vision helped strengthen the organisation and position it for continued growth and impact.

The Association also acknowledged the valuable contributions of outgoing Financial Secretary Amelia Williams and outgoing External Affairs Officer Celine Edwards in advancing the work and mission of NYPAAB.

More Elections to Come

While the new executive marks a significant step forward, the leadership team is not yet complete. Elections for the remaining Executive positions of Vice President, General Secretary, and External Affairs Officer will be held at a later date, completing the leadership team that will guide the Association through its upcoming term.

The NYPAAB, which provides young Antiguans and Barbudans with a platform to engage with the democratic process, debate national issues, and develop civic and leadership skills, continues to be a vital pipeline for the nation’s future public servants and community leaders.
