The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is investigating the sudden death of a Cooks Hill resident whose body was discovered outside his home on Friday evening.

The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Dion Francis, whose lifeless body was found lying in the northwestern section of his yard.

Officers responded to the scene after receiving information that raised concerns about the welfare of the deceased. Upon arrival, police detected a foul odor coming from the property and conducted a search of the premises, during which Mr. Francis was found motionless.

Initial examinations revealed no visible signs of violence, and investigators have indicated that there is currently no evidence to suggest foul play. The body was found in the early stages of decomposition.

Francis was last seen alive on Tuesday, May 26. A medical doctor visited the scene and officially pronounced him dead at approximately 8:46 p.m. on Friday.

The discovery has raised questions in the community about how long Mr. Francis may have been lying outside his home before authorities were alerted.

The Royal Police Force has extended sincere condolences to the family, relatives, and friends of Dion Francis, and has respectfully asked the public to keep the family in their thoughts and prayers as they grieve their loss.
