A senior citizen is recovering from serious injuries after three men broke into his home in Paradise View and subjected him to a brutal assault on Thursday afternoon.
According to reports, the intruders forced their way through the front door of the residence shortly after 12 p.m. on June 18, before turning violently on the homeowner in an attack witnesses have described as savage.
Emergency responders transported the injured man by ambulance to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he remains under hospital care. Authorities have not yet disclosed the full nature or severity of his injuries.
The break-in has reignited public anxiety over violent home invasions, with residents pointing to the lasting trauma — both physical and psychological — that such attacks inflict on victims and the wider community long after wounds have healed.
