Search teams returned to the Brown's Bay/Nonsuch Bay area this week as the effort to locate missing woman Shenett Jacobs pressed on, with police, defence force personnel and community volunteers combing the island's rugged east-coast terrain where she was last seen.

Jacobs was last seen on Saturday, 25 July, in the Brown's Bay/Nonsuch Bay area and has not been heard from since, prompting a mounting public appeal for information.

Multi-Agency Search Underway

The renewed search was set to continue in earnest at 2 p.m., with teams gathering at the same spot in Brown's Bay/Nonsuch Bay where they had previously left off on Monday. The operation has brought together several agencies working alongside relatives, including the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda's K-9 and Drone Units, the Antigua and Barbuda Defense Force's drone unit, the Concerned Citizens of Antigua and Barbuda, and Jacobs's family and friends.

Jacobs is described as five feet four inches tall, of brown complexion, with black and grey hair. When last seen, she was wearing a yellow construction helmet, a grey long-sleeved shirt, dark green trousers and grey Converse shoes.

Appeal for information

Family members and volunteers are pleading with the public to come forward with any detail, "no matter how small or seemingly insignificant," that could help bring Jacobs home. Anyone with information is asked to contact her daughter at 729-2443, the Concerned Citizens at 764-1451 or 725-2270, or the nearest police station. Persons can also call 911.

Members of the public who may see Jacobs are being urged not to lose sight of her, and to follow her while contacting the police.
