The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda (RPFAB) has arrested three individuals in connection with an alleged bank fraud scheme that investigators say involved forged documentation and unauthorised access to multiple customer accounts across two financial institutions.
Detective Superintendent James Clarke confirmed the arrests at a press briefing Friday, stating that the investigation began after a pattern of suspicious transactions was flagged by internal banking compliance teams in February 2026.

The suspects — a 34-year-old male, a 29-year-old female, and a 41-year-old male, all Antiguan nationals — appeared before the Magistrate's Court on Tuesday and were remanded in custody. A fourth suspect is believed to be known to investigators but has not yet been located.
"This is a serious and complex investigation involving multiple counts of fraud by false representation, forgery, and computer misuse," Det. Supt. Clarke told reporters. "We are working closely with the financial institutions involved and with our regional law enforcement partners."
The total amount allegedly fraudulently obtained has not been confirmed by police, but sources familiar with the case have suggested the sum runs into hundreds of thousands of Eastern Caribbean dollars.
