Stuti Kashyap, representing Antigua and Barbuda at the Caribbean Youth Table Tennis Championships in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, has returned home with two gold medals after dominant performances in the Under-17 women's singles and doubles categories.

The 16-year-old — who has been training under national programme coordinator Earl Thomas — defeated competitors from Cuba, Barbados, and Trinidad and Tobago on her way to both titles, showcasing a powerful forehand loop and exceptional footwork that drew admiration from coaches across the region.

In the singles final, Kashyap defeated Cuba's Rosa Martinez 4-2 in a compelling match that went to three deuce games. In the doubles, partnering with Barbadian Alicia Bishop, she won 4-0 in a more one-sided affair. Her doubles partner praised Kashyap's ability to "read the game two shots ahead."

National coach Thomas said the results confirm the progress made in Antigua's youth development programme over the past two years, which has focused on systematic technical training and regional competition exposure.
